Description of both examples:
The work has a reduced size (originals were typically 8-1/2" wide x 11" high), 8-1/2" high x 6" wide black-and-white printed artwork known as a "Burczy", a poster created by him promoting an exhibition of his art in 1998. Text: Burczy, The Power of Art as Witness, Secret Ingredient, 1006 Washington Street, 222-1212 EXT. A.R.T.S. 23.9.98, Brushes at the Ready. The poster is laminated in clear plastic. It is mounted to an a 8" x 10" piece of 3/8" rough plywood; black paint on front and edges; back is painted tan. Mounting is with staples (painted to appear rusty) plus other staples and nailheads (with rust) present. Sawtooth hanger on back.
Work 1 is signed on the reverse with white paint pen: Burczy Art, Hoboken, N.J., 2006. Work 2 is the same except for the insertion of an 'R' in a circle following Burczy Art.
