HELD IN POOR OVERSEER'S SLAYING
Hoboken, N.J. -- When Harry L. Barck, 74, overseer of the poor here was fatally stabbed during a scuffle in his office Feb. 25, Joseph Scutellaro, 36, a jobless carpenter and father of two children, was held for the crime. Barck, recently under fire because of alleged "abominable treatment" of relief clients, died a few minutes after his right lung was penetrated by a desk spindle. He and Scutellaro had been arguing over an $8 relief check.
