Metal can, 3-1/2" high x 2-1/2" diameter; printed paper label. Bottom embossed within ring: F 40. The label states that the company was established in 1879 and "...made Davis the Dependable Baking Powder for over half a century." Also the stamped lid has the American Medical Association, Committee on Foods, Seal of Approval ("Accepted") which was not available prior to 1929. All of this indicates that the container was made in the early 1930's to the 1940's.
