View is northeast from River Road at approximately Ninth Street.
The tracks of the Hoboken Manufacturers (later - Shore) Railroad are seen on River Road in the foreground. Street is paved with belgian blocks (cobblestones.) Fire hydrant.
To the right is the yard where the Marine Repair Facility of the P.R.R. was located. Beyond it are freightcars included a "reefer" (refrigerated car) lined up at the car float facility at Tenth Street and the Hudson River.
The Maxwell House Coffee plant with its large sign is seen. In the distance beyond Maxwell House are cranes and ships at the Bethlehem Steel Hoboken Shipyard showing a signficant amount of post-World War II activity there. At the upper left is a partial view of the Lipton Tea sign at Fifteenth Street.
