This section was commonly called the Hoboken Ferry Terminal and last used for large ferries in 1967. (There are small ferries operating at this time from docks just south of the terminal.) The Erie-Lackawanna sign can be seen along with a restored copper cupola and spire above the mostly unrestored facade. This area has not yet been restored, but planning is underway.
The Hoboken Terminal was known as the Lackwanna or Erie-Lackawanna Terminal. The interior of the waiting room has only been recently restored by New Jersey Transit, the current owner and operator of the train terminal. The view is looking northwest. The entrance to Hoboken PATH station would be to the left.
