DescriptionDecorative terracotta brick from Public School No. 6, Eleventh Street and Willow Avenue, Hoboken, no date, circa 1890. Red brick, no glaze, 10" wide x 7-1/2" high x 4" thick. Manufacturing marks on bottom including numbers, but no maker's identification as text. This piece is believed to be from a second floor course on the Willow Avenue side of the building. When the building was demolished in the late 1970's, pieces were salvaged and saved by individuals. Some appeared at flea markets.
