Iron mortar and pestle used for pharmaceutical preparations by Dr. Junius Frederic Zenneck who practiced medicine in Hoboken, no date, circa 1900-1940. Mortar: black painted iron, 5-1/2" diameter x 5" high. Pestle: 8" long x 1-5/8" diameter on large end. Green felt on base not removed to inspect for any maker's marks.
According to his daughter, Elsie Zenneck, he died in 1945 at age 68.
