Registered Construction Mortage 4-1/2% Gold Bond, Series 6, Due November 1, 1975. (A fifty-year bond.)
A date that is related to the probable year of registration is found in the printed text of a guarantee by the lessee of the M&E, The Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad, which is dated as 1st of May 1931. (The year 1931 was part of the era called the Great Depression and successfully floating a bond issue during this economic / credit crisis would have been difficult to almost impossible. It has not been discovered if any of these bonds were sold.)
