It is probable that the store was the sponsor of a Police Athletic League or Little League championship team which was being celebrated and the children were parade participants. Signage in the store's windows for Carstairs whiskey, Ballantine Ale and Schaeffer's Beer would indicate that this was a bar/tavern or liquor store. None of the people are identified.
