A patented invention by Dr. Julius Fehr, made in Hoboken and marketed initially to physicians as Compound Talcum Baby Powder. The powder was offered first offered in 1873 as either plain or perfumed.
1893: Fehr, Julius - physician, office: 158 Second St. (old number 58); laboratory: Paterson Ave. corner Jackson St.
This talcum was produced at least until World War I.
