A promotional novelty that, if used by this wholesale hardward flooring company, was for advertising or, more likely, intended as a gift to clients. Possibly a sample deck? Company was at 335 Observer Highway, Hoboken.
-Full deck, gilt-edges, with cowgirl pin-up artwork; note that company name does not appear on the card deck.
-Joker card with different cowgirl pin-up artwork on each side.
-Card mounted on box with Hoboken company imprinting at bottom; artwork of a seated woman with phonographic records.
-Rule card, double-sided, with text for two games:
1. Rules for Gin Rummy for Two
2. Contract Bridge Scoring (April 1943 Revision) [cataloger's note: next revision was in 1949 which provides a date range for production of this deck.]
Two copies of this card, one with an unused U.S. Internal Revenue stamp for Playing Cards attached to it.
