DescriptionDouble head t-square, model N2088, 48", made by Keuffel & Esser Co., New York & Hoboken, no date, circa 1935-1950. Mahogany finished maple, 48" long (51-1/4" overall) with two 16" wide ebony finished wood heads; one head secured to blade with 5 brass wood screws; second head, adjustable, secured by bolts with leather washers and brass wheels (nuts.) Blind stamped on top circa 6" from head: Keuffel & Esser Co., New York. N2088. This model would have had clear plastic edges, "Xylonite," for which the edge grooves are present, but the plastic is not. This stock number later had the N dropped. An item used by draftsmen for drafting table work in many professions. K&E had their main office and factories in Hoboken at the time this product was produced.
