New exhibit alert! 

The Hoboken Historical Museum is excited to invite you to the opening reception of our next exhibit in the Upper Gallery, “Natural & Plus: New Paintings by Frank Hanavan” on Sunday, June 21st from 2 PM to 5 PM.

You may recognize Frank Hanavan and his artwork, spotlighted in a recent Hoboken Girl post, which featured Frank plein air painting the blossoming cherry trees on 10th Street. Frank has been painting these trees, and much else of Hoboken, since 1991!

Here’s your chance to see Frank’s 6th art exhibit at the Hoboken Historical Museum. These new Hoboken paintings will strike those familiar with Frank’s work as a continuation in his favorite subject matter, but will also note a change in style and technique.

As of late, Frank’s style has become more expressionistic, and some would even say experimental. We treasure seeing and being part of his artistic evolution.
