Vintage Baseball Game

The Hoboken HS Athletic Department and the Hoboken Historical Museum are teaming up for a vintage baseball exhibition game!
This event is a special milestone as we will be honoring the 180th anniversary of the first recorded game of baseball at Elysian Fields between the Knickerbockers and the New York Ball Club.
The 1859 Hoboken Base Ball Club will square off against the Hoboken Redwings on Saturday, June 20th at 12 PM at Louis M. Taglieri Jr. Stadium.
This vintage exhibition game will be played according to the 1864 rules – that means no gloves and throwback uniforms! Frank Stingone of the 1859 Hoboken Base Ball Club will be umpiring the game.
All are invited for this historic occasion – we are immensely proud to celebrate our baseball roots!
