Lithographed metal with stamped twist-off lid or cap; 4" diameter x 6" high; bottom of container is unmarked. Original contents not present. Printing is in yellow (gold) and red. Lid is unfinished (no paint) and has stamped text in rounded oblong frame: Steel Cut. Beneath these words is: To Open Turn [arrow with feathers]. See objects 2012.001.0212 for a similar can with different lid, painted, that carries the Lipton name on it. It has the same, To Open Turn, with the same style arrow. The can carries a copyright date of 1920 as seen in image 5. Image 3 has text "Can Patent Applied For."
