Streetcar or bus token: Public Service Coordinated Transport, New Jersey, five cent fare. No date, circa 1930-1939. Stamped metal, 13/16" diameter.
Used for streetcar or trolley as well as bus service that was provided in Hoboken at this time. The "Coordinated" in the company name was first used in 1928 when it was created by the merger of several operations.
Side 1: Public Service Coordinated Transport.

McCarter is considered the creator of Public Service Coordinated Transport. A couple of the predecessor companies, some from the 19th century, used Public Service in their name. (A related division was Public Service Electric & Gas, PSE&G.) He was the head of the company until 1939.
