Photograph
Digital image of sepia-tone photo of a New York City bar interior with John Muller standing behind bar at the left, New York, no date, ca. 1903-1905. Photographer's stamp, M. Bock, 1519 First Avenue, New York City, on the reverse of mount. Other people are not identified.
Muller, who founded Muller Insurance in Hoboken, emigrated to America in 1903 when he was 17 years old. He would have been ca. 17-20 years old in this photo. He was identified by his grandson, Roger (Roger John) Muller.
A detail of a name-plate on the cash register shows the name "Herr Muller" who was not related to the Muller family of Hoboken.
