Newspaper comics advertisement: Boys - Girls Get These Swell Prizes and many others by drinking delicious Cocomalt! July 1938.
Half-page color ad published in unknown newspaper Sunday comics section; clipped leaf (lower half of page) 10-7/8" high x 15-1/2" wide; dated in pencil at lower right: 7/17/38.
A dynamic graphic design depicting several items offered and referring to a "Catalogue". Note the reply coupon states the company as "Cocomalt Company, Dept. PUC, Hoboken, N.J." Cocomalt was not its own company, but was a product made by R.B. Davis Co. which was in Hoboken. Cans, publications and advertising used the R.B. Davis name and the designation here is uncommon.
The coupon which was good only if used before July 30, 1938, was only for the Compass Ring and a copy of the catalogue with all prizes. It required sending one inner seal from a one-pound can or two seals from half pound cans.
Except for the compass ring, all have a line that states "Full particulars in Catalogue." While the nine offerings were intended for children, silk stockings seemed to be intended for the slightly older girl.
