No publication date [released July 29, 1949 per Jackson, Highway under the Hudson.] Booklet, 8-1/2" x 11" high, 18 pp.; photo illustrated; two foldout diagrams (one printed both sides.) PDF on file. Map inside front cover (not in pagination): Principal Vehicular Arteries of Manhattan. A Hagstrom metropolitan area road map including Hoboken and tunnel indicated. Foldouts are 10-1/2" high x 32" wide. First foldout (between pp. 4-5) is double sided. Figure 1: Holland Tunnel, Design of Ventilation System Figure 2: Holland Tunnel General Layout, Diagram of Tunnels & Plazas Showing Location of Signal Controls, Booths and Patrol Posts for 8 Post Plan Second foldout (between pp. 6-7) is one side only. Figure 3: Port of New York Authority, Department of Operations, Holland Tunnel, South Tunnel (in Part.) The diagram shows the location of the fire and placement of vehicles (trucks and their cargo) including the one that was the source of the chemical fire. It includes notes on the roof span demolished.
