B+W photo of Hoboken City Hall from northwest corner of Bloomfield & First Sts., Hoboken, n.d., ca. 1986-1989.
Photograph
Black-and-white photo of Hoboken City Hall viewed from northwest corner of Bloomfield and First Streets, Hoboken, no date, circa 1986-1989. 3-1/2" X 4-3/4" high print. Photograph taken by Bill Curran. Reverse is blank.
The view (elevated; at least from a second story at 100 Bloomfield St. per photographer)) is southeast of the First Street facade of City Hall. The intersection of Bloomfield & 1st is at the right edge. At the northwest corner of City Hall grounds are two cars parked on the grass; the basement of City Hall was still the headquarters of the Hoboken Police Department at that time and parking was scarce for official vehicles.
Photographer Curran stated that the date taken is probably nearer 1989 than earlier.
At the southeast corner of First and Washington Streets is a corner bar that was probably the one then known as Good n'Plenty. (Shortly after this era, renovation was done and it became a Dalton Coffee establishment and in turn succeeded by a Malaysian cuisine restaurant.)
