Ten photographic images of Stevens Institute of Technology electrical engineering laboratories, machinery, workshops and classrooms, Hoboken, October 1941. Photographs 1 to 8 probably taken by Burton L. Casner; photo images 9 and 10 show Casner in facilities. All views are interiors and except for the two noted above, no people are present.
Burton Lewis Casner (May 4, 1893 - August 4, 1975) was known for several inventions including an electric welding torch.
Photographs listed as numbers 1 to 8 (order is arbitrary) are 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" wide, black-and-white or sepia-tone prints. None have the scene identified; nos. 6 to 8 have penciled numbers on reverse. Numbers 9 and 10 are photocopied enlargements on one 8-1/2" x 11" high leaf (originals of these photos are not present).
