Dating is approximate and view may be from the 1880s. View is east of the wooden buildings serving as homes for these two sports clubs devoted to rowing and sailing. To the right are a number of barges including a couple related to railroads. This area was north of the North German Lloyd Lines pier at Fourth St. Note a woman and two children on dock near lower right where there is a floating shed.
