Notes: Archives 2012.004.0015 ==== To the Mayor & Council of Hoboken Gentlemen In a former communication to your honourable body, embracing receipts and expenditures of Public Schools of Hoboken, you will find annexed a statement of the amount of money due, the school fund of 1858. And remains uncollected in consequence of the collector of arrears being un-able to obtain the necessary Books, where by to proceed in the discharge of his duty as collector. Which delay causes great inconvenience and expense to the Board of Education in fulfilling their engagements, You will therefore at your earliest convenience, direct said collector to procede [proceed] and use (should the case require) all legal means for collecting the same.
