Gentlemen:- I am in receipt of a communication from Captain Hayes through Chief Donovan in reference to a saloon kept by a Robert Kolligs at No. 116 Washington Street. I am informed that a Boxing Match was in readiness to be fought on Sunday October 9th, 1898. I would recommend that you take this matter under investigation with a view of revoking his license as a place of this sort is a detriment to the city. Respectfully Yours, Lawrence Fagan, Mayor ---- Communication from His Honor Mayor Fagan relating to a saloon at 116 Washington Street October 14/98 Presented read and received and the parties notified to appear & also referred to the committee on Licenses.
