Notes: Archives 2012.004.0072 ==== Mayor's Office Hoboken, N. J. August 2, 1886 To the Council Gentlemen I return without approval, resolution authorizing the City Prison Keeper to " feed all prisoners confined at the Police Station at a cost of twenty five cents for each meal ". The prisoners should be fed, not feasted, fifteen cents will pay well for all they require, fifteen cents will satisfy the City Prison Keeper, fifteen cents is all that Jersey City pays for this purpose, and it is enough for Hoboken to pay.
