Steel bank, safe deposit box, with handle and coin slot with a plate that reads "The Trust Company of New Jersey, 12 & 14 Hudson Place, Hoboken, N.J.," Hoboken, no date, ca. 1900-1950. Steel, 4-3/8" wide x 2-1/4" deep x 3-1/2" high (including handle when flat.); engraved brass plate riveted to the front with lettering above.
Metal box with lock (for flat metal key, not present and box is locked, similar to those used for seen on bank vault boxes) apparently used to secure coins and paper money. On the left side, a 3/8" diameter hole has the word "paper'" in punched letters below. On the right side, a 1-1/2" long x 3/16" high slot has the word "coin" stamped below it. An mechanism inside the side slot allows coins to only go into it.
