Hoboken General Election. November 2nd, 1909. A statement of ballot results in the election where multiple offices and positions were on the ballot: Mayor; Water Commissioner (two seats - full term and unexpired term); Excise Commissioners; For Councilman; For Tax Commissioner. Includes vote by wards, canvass and certification of election. Gray canvas bound volume, oblong, 8-5/8" x 17-1/2" wide, with printed form and tab pages. Ink entries in black and red. Thirteen leaves have been used; some with only holographic entries such as tallies. PDF on file. Form created by the Hudson County Board of Canvassers; in places where a city name is printed "Jersey City" appears rather than "Hoboken" as the place of the election although the cover states Hoboken. Jersey City was the county seat. City of Hoboken copy of the document.

Notes: Leaf 13 text: We do hereby Certify that the foregoing is a true, full and correct statement of the result of the election above mentioned, as the same is exhibited by the statements produced and laid before the Board of County Canvassers, according to law, and that the same exhibits the number of the names of the voters in the poll-books of the wards and election districts, respectively, and of the ballots rejected, the whole number of the names of the voters in the poll-books of the several wards and election dictricts, the name of each person for whom any vote or votes were given, the number of votes given for each person in each ward and election district, and the whole number of votes given for each person for each office designated tor him, as they appear by the statements so produced and laid before the said Board. In Winess Whereof, We have hereunto set our hands, this eleventh day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and nine.
