Davis [see notes] [penciled date] 12/19/25 MISS FLORENCE MILLER Miss Florence Miller, of 716 Bloomfield street, Hoboken, is one of the crack tennis players of the Hoboken Tennis Club, winner with Mrs. Charles Brodmerkel, Jr., of the silver loving cup given for the Women’s Doubles of the 1914 Round Robin Tournament of the elub. She is one of the most enthusiastic members of the organization, which has won a distinctive place among similar clubs for the strength of its feminine contingent in addition to the long list of high-class male players. Miss Miller is fond of all out-door sports, excelling in horseback, riding mid skating as well as in tennis. While a student at Montclair Normal College she attained her best form as a skater on the fine lake at Verona, which was a popular place in the winter with the Norma! girls. Her devotion to the out of doors, does not prevent her keen enjoyment of indoor activities. She is a graceful dancer, and has a charm of manner that adds greatly to her popularity In society. Miss Miller is a brunette, with hair that is almost raven black, and eyes of hue to match. She is slight of form and of medium height. Charles H. Davis, the well-known photographic artist, who has his studio on Hudson place, has posed her in a number of beautiful studies, and has found her one of his best subjects. Miss Miller is a daughter of Mrs. F. P. Davis photo, but not credited] Miss Florence Miller Miss Florence Miller of 716 Bloomfield street, Hoboken, is taking entire charge of arrangements for the card party which is to be given Tuesday evening on board the S.S. America, Pier 4, Hoboken, for the benefit of the building fund of St. Mary’s Hospital. Miss Miller has been an active worker for the hospital for some years and when tile ball to benefit that hospital is held every year she takes entire charge of the making up of the souvenir journal which has been given to patrons for the last two balls. She always is a prominent member of the committee in charge of affairs for the Hoboken Teachers’ Mutual Aid Association and is one of the faculty at Public School No. 4. Miss Miller is the daughter of Mrs. Frank Markey and is a graduate of Sacred Heart Acadeihy and Montclair State Normal School. ==== ====
