Homemade-style natural canvas cover with 14 blue-line prints (leaves varying in size, circa 4-3/8" x 9-3/4" wide - typical format for classification books); three prong binding. Canvas cover is untitled, but has a hand-drawn profile of a 0-8-0 locomotive (as found on leaf 2) in black marker; considered as modern.
Leaf 14 is a chart, Locomotives in Equipment as of Jan. 1st 1930 (which is shown first here to help understand the classification scheme.) This chart has totals for the various types with a total of 681 pieces of locomotive equipment operated by the D.L. & W. not including two electric locomotives.
Drawings are on a template sheet which is only identified on one leaf (13) as: Form M.P. & E. 113 - 2-31 (M.P.& E. = Motive Power & Equipment)
Steam locomotive and coal/water tender are shown in a dimensioned side elevation with a large amount of technical data plus builder and year built.

These prints are not considered as original to the period, but presumed to be later copies.
