K+E general offices and factory were in Hoboken during the period when this item was made.
While this item was not made in Hoboken, it is a typical example of the imported products that were stocked and shipped by K&E; the box was probably made in Hoboken.
This item was replaced ca. 1956-1962 by the Mark I Railroad Pen, model no. 55-1854 (K&E went to six digit stock numbers from 1956-1962), which noted it was the "old 932." See objects 2009.006.0046.
