Engraved calling card of Mrs. H.Otto Wittpenn, Castle Point, Hoboken, New Jersey with holographic ink note at the top, Hoboken, no date, ca. 1925.
Black edging indicates that it may have been a period of mourning for Mrs.Wittpenn. 3-15/16" wide x 3-1/16" high. Reverse is blank.
She was Caroline Bayard Stevens, the eldest daughter of Edwin Augustus Stevens (E.A. Stevens) and Martha Bayard Stevens.
Presumably the note was intended for either or both of the Miller sisters. It reads: Will you come here after the Forum Lecture on March first to meet Baroness von Hindenburg?
The Forum was probably Waldheim-Stevens Forum on Garden St.
