Brochure: Third and Fourth Annual Cruises Around the World on the Palatial Cruising Ship "Victoria Luise." 1912-1913. Hamburg-American Line, New York. With insert: Special Announcement Regarding the Third and Fourth Annual Cruises Around the the World by the S.S. "Cleveland." Booklet, 6" x 8-1/4" high, 64 pages, black-and-white illustrations [this publication probably had a cover printed in color which is not present]; insert, 6" x 9-1/8" high, 8 pages, illustrated.
The eastward itinerary was from New York which meant that it sailed from the company's docks in Hoboken. The Cleveland replaced the Victoria Luise as the scheduled vessel for the cruise. The insert noted that the Cleveland had served as the ship for the previous (First and Second) round the world cruises.
The main brochure for the S.S. Victoria Luise is stamped "void" on pages 2 to 4. Pages 7-15 has multiple photographs of the Victoria Luise. The rest of the booklet describes places en route and side trips.
The insert for the S.S. Cleveland is imprinted: "This leaflet is to be inserted between the cover and title page of the Illustrated Around the World booklet." It has changed dates in holographic pen for the initial departure dates of the eastward and westward cruises.
It has five photo views of the Cleveland.
