Typewritten on back: X49-535. PS-NJ [Public Service of New Jersey] car 2733 of Jackson Av. - Greenville Line at Palisades end of trestle 8/6/49 last day of service. Streamer on car side states that this car will be last one at 4: 45 AM 8/7/49.
Another sign above the windows reads: Farewell to the Trolleys. See photo catalog 2008.012.0202 for image of Union City Line car with similar signage for that route.
The trolleys or streetcars that used this line on the south end of Hoboken ran to and from a terminal at Hudson Place next to the Lackawanna Terminal. They also had connections to street level routes in Hoboken.
