Conductor's ticket blank, Erie-Lackawanna Railroad, between Hoboken and Netcong, no date, circa 1961-1966. Form CS. Single sheet, bond weight paper, printed one side, 8-1/2" high x 5-3/8" wide folded to 2-11/16" wide and perforated at fold. Reverse of unfolded sheet is blank. Three each.
A ticket that would have been sold onboard the suburban train service that operated to or from Hoboken. It could be sold as: one-way fare; round-trip fare (either 1-day or 30-day) ;half-fare; senior citizen. The conductor would make many punches to record information. When separated at the fold, one half was the passenger receipt and the other the conductor's stub (note clipped corners.)
Such a ticket could also be used for travel to or between the many intermediate stops on the lines, so Hoboken was not necessarily the origin or destination of a rider's passage.

Notes: According to donor, the source of this ticket (a railroad ephemera collector) stated that it was from before 1967. As the Erie-Lackawanna was created by the late 1960 merger, the likely date of creation is 1961-1966. Status: OK Status By: dw Status Date: 2010-11-01
