DescriptionTable, mahogany, from the Meyers Hotel, now demolished, formerly on the corner of 2nd & Hudson Sts., Hoboken, no date, ca. 1900. 48" long x 28" wide x 29" high. Single centered support with turned column in center on front (short end). Two turned legs on back end. Late victorian style with no maker's marks or labels found on it. Probably used in a restaurant or bar of which the hotel had both. The top does not appear to have the original finish (i.e. no stains or other evidence of food or liquor service.) A previous repair with sheet metal and nails reinforcing the top of the left rear leg is imaged.
