Dear Sir, I herewith send you a copy of this Journal which circulated among the best purchasers of Bonds thereby presenting a most favorable medium for advertising the annexed. Your instructions would have our best attention. Yours respectfully, John Hillyer PJ.N. ==== text of published notice: Hoboken City Water Bonds Proposals will be received until three o'clock, P.M., on Friday, June 3d, 1870, at the office of the Water Commissioners, No. 97 Washington street, Hoboken for the purchase of from Ten to Fifteen Thousand Dollars of Hoboken City Water Scrip Bonds, of Five Hundred Dollars each. Said Bonds are made payable at from ten to twenty years from date, bearing interest at the rate of seven per cent.[centum] per annum, payable July and January of each year. Proposals will be received for the whole or any part of the above-named sum, and the Commissioners reserve the right to reject all bids not deemed by them to the interest of the city.
