Sports jacket: Hoboken High School (Redwings). Basketball. (Hoboken, N.J.) No date, circa 1962-1963. Belonged to team member, John Meeks, captain.
Long sleeve, snap front, red wool with white leather trim (collar, pockets, shoulders); red/white elastic cuffs and waist; applique patches on back and left sleeve. Embroidered label of owner inside left near bottom: Meeks. Source / maker's label: Stan's Sport Center 536 Washington St., Hoboken, N.J. [size] 42.
Genre is a varsity letter team jacket; school colors red and white. The applique on the back is lettered with the school name, Hoboken High School, and has two red wings denoting the school nickname, Redwings, but the word 'Redwings' does not appear. Left sleeve has a white basketball patch.
