Embroidered label of owner inside left near bottom: Meeks. Source / maker's label: Stan's Sport Center 536 Washington St., Hoboken, N.J. [size] 42. Genre is a varsity letter team jacket; school colors red and white. The applique on the back is lettered with the school name, Hoboken High School, and has two red wings denoting the school nickname, Redwings, but the word 'Redwings' does not appear. Left sleeve has a white basketball patch. See objects 2012.060.0002 for another jacket belonging to Meeks dated 1963-1964. ---- Note: 1962 is the year that a new high school building opened at 8th and Clinton Streets; the school reverted its earlier name, Hoboken High School, from Demarest High School which it used for about forty years.
