The "Chicago" listing (branch office; next one to be added was in 1894) would date this as between 1891 and 1894. "Printed in Germany" is at the bottom of back cover. PDF on file. Notice to teachers on page [ii]: "For the use of Schools we publish special copy books which contain only the 32 lithographed pages. By their systematic order they will greatly facilitate the task both of teacher and student." The textbook here is thus the 'teacher's' edition. (It was also available in hardcover; the 32 page student copy book was available only in softcover.) K&E had factories and some office operations in Hoboken during this period.
